Fixed Prosthodontics
Training students to replace missing natural teeth with fixed substitutes (crown and bridges.) The clinical procedures of shaping a tooth to receive a complete coverage extra coronal restoration, as well as laboratory procedures and final restoration of prepared tooth by crown or bridge will be taught by lectures, demonstrations and clinical performance.

The program will cover all the anatomical, psychological, pathological and biological considerations needed to properly diagnose and treat patients who have lost some or 'all of their teeth. Impression making for the edentulous and partially edentulous dental arches, jaw relationship records, design of removable partial denture metal frameworks, selection and arrangement of artificial teeth, waxing and finishing of the dentures, placement and aftercare procedures, patient education and recall programs are all included in the curriculum.
