Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology
Teaching the students about the production and interpretation of images and data produced by all modalities of radiant energy that are used for the diagnosis and management of the diseases, disorders and conditions of the oral and maxillofacial regions. In this context, the students will learn about basic principles of radiology such as physics and biologic effects of radiation as well as radiation safety and protection, imaging principles and techniques, and radiographic interpretation of pathologic cases.
